- Panorama image assistant: individual images are combined into a panoramic image as soon as they are taken. This means, for instance, that you can take thermal images of entire building shells without having to laboriously compile them or assess them individually
- SiteRecognition technology: with similar measurement objects, the thermal imager identifies measuring locations immediately, assigns them automatically and archives them accordingly
- High-temperature option: the measuring range can be extended up to 1,200°C
- Special measuring mode for detecting areas susceptible to mould: the dewpoint in the room is calculated by manually entering the ambient temperature and humidity. The surface temperature value measured by the camera is then compared to the dewpoint. The display now shows the risk of mould in traffic light colours (red, yellow, green). The optional radio humidity probe makes things easier: automatic transmission of readings means that manual input of humidity and ambient temperature is no longer needed
- FeverDetection (optional): use the assistant to check people for high body temperature in public places and in means of transport – for public health protection

There are two main reasons for examining solar plants: safety and performance monitoring. Solar plants perform at their best in full sunshine. Testo thermal imagers can be used to monitor photovoltaic systems of all sizes in a way that is wide-ranging, contact-free and also exceptionally efficient. Malfunctions are easy to detect on thermographic images, and smooth functioning of all components is guaranteed, thus achieving maximum cost-effectiveness for the solar plant.

Additional reliability is also achieved through the ability to enter the key measurement parameter of solar radiation intensity: the value entered is stored with the thermal image and is then available for the image analysis.
The challenge.
Malfunctions in the operation of photovoltaic systems can be quickly diagnosed at a solar irradiation from 500 – 600 W/m² using Testo thermal imagers, based on conspicuous changes in the thermal properties of the system:
• Defective bypass diodes
• Contact errors and short circuits in solar cells
• Moisture penetration, dirt
• Cracks in cells or in the module's glass
• Non-functioning or disconnected modules
• So-called mis-matches, i.e. loss of performance due to different capacities of individual modules It is important that in thermogaphic measurement, you take solar irradiation into consideration. Because too low values falsify the result.

The testo 876 in practical camcorder design allows you to discover losses of performance in your photovoltaic system – easily and efficiently during continuing operation. With its large rotatable display and the optional telephoto lens, you always have the right image section in view. And what makes it special is: In the solar mode, you can simply enter the solar irradiation power into the imager in W/m2. You do not lose this value, it is stored with each thermal image and is available for evaluation in the analysis software. This means, that using only your thermal imager, you monitor the operational security of your photovoltaic system, and can prove the highest level of effectivity: you have everything under control.
